Melike Koçak (b. 1997) is an artist based in
Istanbul, Turkey. Through long-term lens-based projects, she meditates upon the
existence of natural elements within human-made systems and their surreal
manifestations within photographic space and time. In 2020 she became an
alumnus of the Canon Student Development Program. She has selected to
participate in the Image Threads Mentorship Program to work with Dylan Hausthor in 2021. She has named in ARTPIL's
30 Woman Photographer Under 30 2022 Selection. Recently, she received a
scholarship in Design & Artistic Research MA Programme from Kadir Has University. Melike Koçak holds a BA in philosophy and also runs Fabrika Zine, a platform for emerging Turkish
photographers since 2015.
